Emily is a dynamic and energetic speaker, capable of inspiring her audiences into new thoughts and action. Consistently praised in participant evaluations, she has taught workshops and seminars in fundraising, grant writing, fine arts integration, disability awareness, and creative writing to adult learners and youth grades 4-12 through a wide variety of public and private schools and community centers, including Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Cranbrook Theatre School, the Dougherty Arts Center, the O. Henry Museum, and the Michigan and Texas Young Playwrights Festivals.
She has extensive experience teaching theater and creative writing in higher education as an Instructor, Specialist, and Guest Lecturer including Austin Community College, Lansing Community College, McNeese State University, and the University of Texas.
Most recently, she has presented grant writing workshops for faculty at the University of Texas at Austin's College of Liberal Arts. Between 2003 and 2006, she conducted numerous Professional Development Workshops in Start With The Arts for prekindergarten and K-3 teachers; and in-class Playwright Discovery workshops for middle and high school students, both through VSA arts of Texas.
