presenting & workshops
Emily is a dynamic and energetic speaker, capable of inspiring her audiences into thought and action. Consistently praised in participant evaluations, she has taught workshops and seminars in fundraising, grant writing, fine arts integration, disability awareness, and creative writing to adult learners and youth grades 4-12 through a wide variety of public and private schools and community centers, including Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Cranbrook Theatre School, the Dougherty Arts Center, the O. Henry Museum, and the Michigan and Texas Young Playwrights Festivals. Also, she has 7 years of experience teaching theater and creative writing in higher education as an Instructor, Specialist, and Guest Lecturer including Austin Community College, Lansing Community College, McNeese State University, and the University of Texas.
Most recently, she presented Professional Development Workshops in Start With The Arts for prekindergarten and K-3 teachers; and in-class Playwright Discovery workshops for middle and high school students, both through VSA arts of Texas. She is available for workshops, guest lectures and presentations on topics related to arts, education, program development, and fund raising a limited, case-by-case basis.
