Biography

Emily Cicchini is an active dramatic writer and playwright-in-residence at The Pollyanna Theatre Company. Her original script Mays and Terese was developed at The New Harmony project and Becoming Brontë was selected and for the National Playwright’s Festival and the Austin Critic’s Table Awards. Eliza’s Ferry was a semi-finalist for the Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting. Her play Edward, the Owl, and the Calico Cat is published by Dramatic Publishing. Her work has been produced by Bloomington Playwright’s Project, BoarsHead: Michigan Public Theatre, Capitol City Playhouse, The Cleveland Play House, Florida Studio Theatre, Frontera @ Hyde Park Theatre, McNesse State University, The Pollyanna Theatre Company, The State/Live Oak Theatre, Train of Thought Productions, and Zachary Scott Theatre. She holds an MFA in playwriting from the University of Texas where she was a James A. Michener Fellow, and a BFA in acting from Goodman School of Drama/The Theatre School, DePaul University.
